Whether your buying or selling. I believe that the power of a transaction is won or lost in the negotiations. As emotional as the process is you have to remain objective in making your offers know your entrance and exit point.
My background is in Mortgage Finance, Flipping Homes as an Investor, I am Investor Friendly (meaning open to making multiple offers and using investor matrix’s for “MAO” maximum allowable offer), Foreclosure and Short Sales, Real Estate Agent. I really enjoy helping F.T.H.B. (First Time Home Buyers) as well as move ups. The dynamics between the 2 is an education for me on a daily basis.
Example: A First Time buyer will be looking at location, and price primarily. The question from them is: what can I afford?
A Move up buyer will be looking at amenities, size, proximity to social circles, their want list is more specific in regards to the home and refines faster than a F.T.H.B. The question from them is: can we find it for the right price?
